Study Abroad Award

Herzlichen Glückwunsch! French and German Translation and Interpreting student Adam Hooper won the Study Abroad Above and Beyond Award at our annual employability awards and networking event, held at the breathtaking Swansea Arena. Adam was nominated on account of his outstanding achievements during his year abroad, not least his exceptional academic and linguistic attainment: having started German as an absolute beginner upon commencing his study at Swansea. he received the highest mark of his class, (84%!) at Germersheim University. A fantastic achievment, not least on account of the way in which Covid disrupted his first two years at Swansea University. To celebrate his success, Adam was joined by some of his final year peers, all of whom enjoyed networking with local and regional companies after the conclusion of the prize-giving.
